Department of Financial and Actuarial Mathematics has rigorous actuarial science programmes for over one hundred diploma major each year, and is establishing undergraduate majors. In addition, the Department is responsible for the teaching of mathematics in the School of Business and Legal Studies and related areas.

The Department prepares to offer students for degrees in business and financial mathematics on one hand and in financial and actuarial mathematics on the other hand. It is also in conjunction with the Department of Business Administration, the Department prepare graduates in the area of insurance and actuarial science.

The department offers two programmes:
a)    Diploma in Technology in Actuarial Science courses, and
b)    Bachelors of Science in Actuarial Science {Proposed}
